If you heard the name Cara, and you don't have a clue of who I am talking about … well, where do you live? After Naomi, Giselle, Cyndy, Claudia and Elle there's a new name to add at the list of top-model : Cara Delavigne.
Everyone loves the 20 year-old British model, everywhere this days, with her face splash on the free press every morning last week while partying with her friend Rita Ora during the London Fashion Week, and her clever glance that looks at you from the cover of the latest issue of Vogue.
Bushy chestnut eyebrows - already a trend! -, honey blond hair, green smart eyes and a beautiful body, which of course she don't have to think to keep in shape, since she won the genetic lottery. Before the Victoria's Secret fashion show, where models are famous for their hard training and diet before the event in lingerie, Cara has surprised everyone by declaring what she had eaten that day: “I had McDonald's for lunch and pizza for dinner. I need to eat a lot otherwise I feel faint - I get in the worst moods if I don't eat.' God bless you!
Starring in the ad campaign of brand such as Burberry, Chanel and DKNY, the petite model during these fashion week is being greeted as a celebrity at the exit from the runway, besieged by paparazzi and followed in her every move. Something not difficult at all since the model is the queen of social media: her Twitter profile is a constant sneak-peek look into her life and the at the fashion shows backstage, uncensored and fun. She's also the star, alongside with her pal Jourdan Dunn of the #LFW channel on Google Plus, and her weirdy faces and funny moves in videos, as the remake of “The Harlem Shake”, are already popular.
Cara certainly did not come from nowhere :her sister is the famous Poppy Delavigne, and she's the granddaughter of former English Heritage chairman Sir Jocelyn Stevens, the former publisher of Queen magazine and founder of the 60s pirate radio Radio Caroline. Her childhood friend, is none other than Georgia May Jagger, who described Cara as 'a massive tomboy' all 'weird faces and jumpsuits', a girl who don't 'care about looking pretty!'.
Chapter Style: she is already famous also for that! Absolutely out of the chorus, the British model is not afraid of wear a lots of animal onesies, but her off-duty outfit is usually composed by skinny jeans, novelty jackets, inevitable beanies and big sunglasses.
Named Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council , Cara has just registered her name with the Intellectual Property Office, so like Beyonce, Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham now she has the sole rights to use it as a marketing tool and prevents other people cashing in on her name. A name, I guarantee, that you will hear for a long long time!
