This New Zealand native won well-deserved kudos at this year’s Fashion Week in London and has been named as one to watch. Spending her young and impressionable years in Milan, Emilia graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors Art degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from Central Martin’s London with honours.
Splitting her time between her homes in Milan, London, and New York, Emilia was a staple in the design studios of Giorgio Armani, Narciso Rodrigeuz and Proenza Schouler and also penned articles for American Vogue.
Emilia’s fashion label, EMILIA WICKSTEAD, was launched in 2008 and her showrooms opened in Chelsea and Knightsbridge. October 2009 saw her launch her flagship store in the plush area of Belgravia in London, where you can get items made to order. The customer can choose from a wide range of fabrics in an array of hues.
Romantically beautiful dresses in warm hues and bright pops of pastel colour, beautifully wrap the contours of the female form, both flattering and enhancing. Worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, Emilia’s fashion is a nod to parisian chic, beautifully elegant and stylish dresses you can imagine Audrey Hepburn would be wearing in a playful love scene with Humphrey Bogart. Her couture ranges are ready-to-wear straight from the catwalk, further adding the air of class which pervades her designs.
Emila Wickstead's boutique can be found at 28 Cadogan Place, London, SW1X 9RX
