Stella Polaris joins Tate Britain, which currently hosts the with the Pre-Raphaelites exhibiton, to offer an extraorindary sensorial experience that it really worth it, also because it‘s for free!
The 7th December , Late at Tate Britain will host a line-up of Stella Pollaris‘ DJ’s who will play the best of chill-out to enhance the visual experience that the museum offers, with a soundtrack that perfectly adapts to the beauty of the exposition. Kalle B and Nicka Kirstejn, founders of Denmark’s renowned electronica festival, Stella Polaris will be joined by leading Danish electronic music artists Mads Björn (live), Lulu Rouge, August and Løwenstein to provide Pre-Raphaelite inspired electronic sounds.
The Pre—Raphaelites is an exclusive exhibition that Tate Britan offers, which features this artisitc movement, considered the first avant-garde movement in art, which took place on the 19th century and headed by a group of English painters in revelion of the artistic standards of the time, claming for the Renaissance idea of beauty. They wanted to return to the abundant detail, intense colours, and complex compositions of Quattrocento Italian and Flemish art.
Stella Polaris, who started in 1997, and are currently the world’s largest free chill-out festival, are famous for their summer events productions, which featured artists like Moby, Trentemoller, Groove Armada’s Andy Cato and Ewan Pearson amongst others. They also are experienced in amusing this kind of events, as they have curated the Danish National Gallery of Art’s ‘Night Music Gallery’.
The event will also Include an Etsy craft fair, Miharayasuhiro’s sensory interactive installation ‘Ophelia Has A Dream', a literary portrait of Burne-Jones from Ruth Rosen and a screening of live action film adaptation of Christina Rossetti's poem Goblin Market written and directed by Anna Blandford amongst other activities.
