The Oxford quintet has released the first single from their upcoming album ‘Holy Fire’ alongside a music video which you can watch below.
The band rose to prominence following the release of their debut album ‘Antidotes’ back in 2008 which saw them gain a cult following and feature in Channel 4’s massive teen drama Skins. The follow up album ‘Total Life Forever’ released in 2010, offered a totally different direction for the band and saw them gain a Mercury Award Nomination and their first top ten chart place coming in at number eight in the UK album charts.
The new single comes with the news that Foals are scheduled to play the Royal Albert Hall on 28th March next year and unveils the possible new sound of ‘Holy Fire’. Once again Foals reveal a maturity, a new and differing sound with a much heavier and rock element to their previous works. But as always with this group their very unique sound and math rock edge leaves remnants of previous work which makes the single instantly identifiable as the bands very own.
