Stock up on earplugs – Frankie’s back

Tuesday 6th November 2012 | David

He managed to make it quite far in series eight of the X Factor – despite having no apparent musical ability – and now the singer from Brighton is back in the public eye with a new video.

Just when I manage to forget about an act I hate, they seem to rear their ugly heads. It’s happened recently with Kings Of Leon, who are back after a two year hiatus. Still, they’re talented musicians who have done wonders for the music industry: that much can’t be denied. However, now that odious little douchebag Frankie Cocozza is at it – he’s got a new video out for his track ‘She’s Got A Motorcycle’. Dear God.

After his X Factor performance of the Black Eyed Peas’ ‘I Gotta Feeling’ – which, incidentally, was one of the single most painful listening experiences of my life – I did kind of hope he would fade away into obscurity and never darken the airwaves again. It’s not to be. His debut EP, The Motorcycle EP, is currently sitting at 19 in the iTunes chart. Don’t ask me how it got there. Perhaps it was a clerical error.

Either way, the track is out there, and it’s pretty terrible – check out the video below if you can stand it. It’s about a girl with a motorcycle that she won’t let him ride, and Cocozza is right back on form with his horrible voice and out-of-tune ramblings, looking like Pete Doherty ate One Direction and vomited up any remaining talent. Between the poorly veiled innuendos and the fact he appears to be losing a battle with constipation, all I want is for him to get on his bike and ride away. Forever.
