Plan B ‘Playing With Fire’ in latest video

Thursday 1st November 2012 | David

Labrinth features on the rapper’s latest single, which is set to be released on 3rd December.

Fresh from September’s iTunes Festival, Plan B has a video out for his upcoming single “Playing With Fire”, which is out next month. The track is taken from his massively successful album ill Manors and features Labrinth, who joined the rapper on stage at the festival to perform the song. The video itself is a dark commentary on drug and gang culture in Britain, with a young boy, Jake, being bullied into beating up his “only friend” so he can purchase weed and join the gang supplying it. Plan B laments the position of Jake, who is “just a kid” becoming “another poster boy for David Cameron’s broken Britain”.

It’s pretty hard-hitting stuff, and looks set to gain more acclaim on top of the triumph that is ill Manors, which has already stacked up the Mercury Music Prize and five Mobo Awards. Plan B has several dates set for his UK arena tour in February, including big shows at the Manchester Arena and London O2 Arena. Get tickets now because the tour is sure to sell out pretty quickly. In the meantime, check out the video for “Playing With Fire” below.
