Eminem alludes to 2013 album on commemorative baseball cap
Eminem created a buzz by hinting at an eighth album to be released at some point in 2013. Fans have come to this conclusion after the date was listed down the side panel of the cap, along with the seven previous release years of landmark Eminem solo albums. Trust the controversial rapper to imply the impending release in such an elusive fashion.
The baseball cap, which is sold on the grammy winning rapper’s website and is named the Eminem Baseball Tribute Champ Hat, is priced at $30, a proportion of which will go to The Marshall Mathers Foundation.
Back in May rumours were flying that Eminem had announced a collaboration with US rap star Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga. He supposedly told MTV Rap Fix, "Yeah, I got this crazy record with Gaga and Kendrick for the upcoming LP. Its called Street Lights, and its just a real upbeat record."The track is said to be featuring on the hip-hop legend’s forthcoming solo LP.
News of the collaboration came as quite a surprise owing to the merciless lyricist’s slander of Gaga with the lyrics “Tell Lady Gaga she can quit her job at the post office, she's still a male lady, wouldn't f**k her with her d**k." in his 2011 track A Kiss. But Eminem has since articulated that the line was a joke, and that he thinks Gaga is ‘undeniable’ as an artist. Have Gaga and Em kissed and made up? Not according to Em’s manager, who has denied the collaboration, tweeting ‘People don’t hear from Marshall for a spell and they just start making stuff up. Thirsty world!"
Neither an album title or a definitive release date has been confirmed.
