Mobile operator EE has announced the prices for its 4G services and will be launched next week on October 30.

Everything Everywhere are the first one to make 4G connection commercially available in the UK. The firm has announced its price plans for its 4G connection- the cheapest contract would be at price £36 per month with unlimited domestic calls and texts but with only 500 MB data allowance.

The top tariff for standard customers will cost £56 per month, and has a data allowance of 8GB.

Data usage on 4G network is expected to be higher than on the slower 3G network which might lead to increased costs for 4G users who wish to download a lot of data- intensive content such as audio or video.

EE told the BBC that it was confident in its pricing. "We really think we've priced it at the sweet spot," said chief executive Olaf Swantee told BBC technology correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones.

EE is also trying put to special efforts to convince small businesses with 1GB data allowances on contracts of £35 per month. Alongside 4G, EE has also launched an on-demand service in which customers can access content directly using 4G but without impacting on their data allowance.
