Flight Facilities @ Birthdays

Since first releasing the divine Crave You and gliding into people’s sights in 2010, Sydney’s Flight Facilities have steadily amassed a larger and larger fan base as they begin to spread their wings worldwide and seriously work on those frequent flyer points.
Crave You proved to be one of the biggest tracks of 2010, placing 19th in the ever-respected Triple J Hottest 100 and appealing to all types with Giselle’s gorgeous vocals and Hugo and James’ sleek production.
The boys have constantly teased fans since then with limited (but always fabulous) releases coming out at a rate of about one original track per year. Despite this, the pair have managed to remain always relevant and prove themselves one of the very hottest acts on the Australian electro scene, constantly mixing up a disco storm at clubs nationwide and offering up electronic works of art on Soundcloud.
Flight Facilities follow up to Crave You, Foreign Language ft. Jess, was released last year with similarly amazing success.
If anything, the boys’ slow-burner style of releasing music paired with the constant availability of sweet mixtapes online has worked wonders, with fans always desperate for more.
This year the boys are back again, this time with a male vocalist, Grovesnor, (of Hot Chip fame) with With You. The track is paired with a delightful Interstella 5555-esque clip that is fucking amazing and you should watch it right now. Well, after you’ve finished reading this anyway.
Now, essentially, the big news is Flight Facilities are coming to London! Hugo and James will be playing Birthdays on Thursday November 8 with VERY special guest vocalists Jess Higgs and Grovesnor. What’s more, Rory Phillips and his telephone will also be present- All for 6.50 =O.
Seriously, get along for a fucking sick night. I saw them in Melbourne in 2010 when they were just beginning to bask in the success of Crave You and it still remains one of the best clubbing nights I’ve had. Not only are the boys amazing DJs and producers, their mixing skills are of champage calibre.
