Then at high school, he started playing with rhythms through a djembe in an African ensemble. It wasn’t until 8th grade that he turned into electronic music. He then started the Machinedrum project and released his first record, Now You Know, on Merck Records at the age of 19.

Since then, he has collaborated with Tiombe Lockhart,Theophilus London Jesse Boykins III, Azealia Banks, and Mickey Factz among others. But it was partnering with Praveen Sharma, and becoming Sepalcure, what helped him buid a name. Together they sign with Hotflush records and wrote and performed the song ‘Outside The Lines’ for Black Swan. Machinedrum has played such venues as the Sydney Opera House, the Nokia Theater in New York City, the Sonar Music Festival '11 and '12 in Barcelona, and SXSW.
