The legacy goes on

Thursday 4th October 2012 | Philip

Little has been hear of the name Irwin since Steve Irwins death at the hand of the pesky stingray in 2004, however the legacy will continue is the theme of what is being shown by the Irwin family.

Steve Irwin rose to fame in the tv programme ‘the crocodile hunter’ which had a successful run of 5 seasons. He built a name for himself and for Australia by being the crocodile hunter, this is going to live on through his family, or so they hope, and the most recent step was Steve’s son Robert feeding his first crocodile at the family zoo a few days ago.

At one month old Robert was held in his Steve’s arm whilst feeding a croc, Steve at the time said ‘I would be considered a bad parent if I didn't teach my children to be croc-savvy’ and after feeding his first croc Robert agreed with "I'm not really scared of anything. Every day I get to wake up to the tigers and elephants and crocs and everything."

The family are working on the first tv programme since his death, but his daughter Bindi has been in one or two children films, the most known one being ‘Free Willy; Escape from Pirate Cove’  however it is still to be seen if the legacy will be able to continue without the trademark and well known ‘crocodile hunter’ Steve Irwin.
