Music CD’s will now also be sold at the selected stores of Primark in UK.

Universal Music Group confirmed to the BBC that a deal has been signed with the high street fashion retailer to sell music by artists signed to its label.

Primark said the venture that it would be a trial at first as it complements their current business and, "fashion and music have always been synonymous".

Primark has not confirmed yet, when or whether music will be available in its stores, but due to the customer demand, selling music CD’s will be used as a medium to fill up the "natural gap in the market".

Universal said customers would be able to buy "a selection of our biggest titles" at Primark stores. Artists such as Jay-Z, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are signed to the label and its subsidiaries, which have more than a 25% market share.

This trial is worth the wait. You might be able to buy latest CD's soon at your nearest Primark stores.
