Galliano suing Dior for $18.8 million

The fashion designer who was told to boot it from Christian Dior after giving a racist rant that was caught on video in Paris 2011, is suing Dior for $18.8 million USD!
John Galliano was creative director at Dior for almost 15 years, but after being filmed giving a drunken anti-semitic rant, the company decided it was best to suspend the guy before dismissing him entirely. He was arrested in March 2011 in Paris at the bar ‘La Perle’ after slurring anti-semitic insults at a nearby couple. Galliano told the couple that their ancestors should be gassed and declared his love for Hitler in a drunken slur. It’s not clear exactly what he is suing Dior for, only that it is believed to be lodged as an emloyer/employee dispute claim. The only other piece of information currently available is the court date, set to be 4th February 2013. Galliano was also stripped of his Legion of Honour award last week due to the rant.
