Have You Heard About DJ Teo?

Sometimes you go out just to pass the time, to forget your daily myseries, to listen to some good music or just without any aim. But if one thing is sure, it's that life is made of meetings...
I asked my friend DJ JAYCE to bring me to a house music party and he gave me a rendez-vous at the Cargo House, in the heart of the Shoretdich area of London.
After a moment in the queue, in the middle of British boys and girls, we began to hear mainstream music as we were approaching the entry. No worries, once inside when we took left and arrived at the terrace : the place to eat, smoke and chill out. And no worries because the sound we wanted was there, and more exactly, the DJ we came to see was there. Almost hidden behind the bar, the first reflex was to go in front of him and the soundsystem – useless to tell you that the Rihanna song playing inside was lower than the deep house mix outside. Anyway, five minutes after listening to his music you must want to know who is this man. That's what we did.
Teo started DJing in 1997 and was already influenced by the house music scene at that time. He co- hosted a radio show for Active FM over three years alongside Kev Hill (Ministry of Sound) and DJ Chris Lavish. He played on massive stages such as Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi and at exclusive parties with legends of house music including the Swedish StoneBridge. After a residency at The Hoxton Pony in Shoreditch next to DJ Roy Rovelli and Tony English, he set up his own production company, Crazy Corner Production. Year 2012 saw him taking a weekly residency at Cargo House and at The Shoreditch, in the London area that allows avant-garde and free music expression, héhéhé.
Teo has got enough talent not to fall into the comercial deep house that rules the scene in most of the clubs nowadays with the supremacy of the big labels, and this is the reason why his mixes are full of pearls that you have not heard yet. This is not only my own opinion for the good reason that one of my very tallented DJ friends playing deep and tech house since 20 years ago qualified him as an excellent DJ.
