Sir, why are you bunking off school again?

Ok, so occasionally we might tell that little white lie to avoid coming in to work, maybe because we’re hungover, extremely lazy or have that ‘important’ event we HAVE to attend. But music teacher Mr. Derek McGlone appears to be extremely eager to miss a day of work, claiming that he had knocked over a young girl in a car crash.
Previously, McGlone had also bunked off school by suggesting that he was caught up in Iceland’s ash cloud although he was in Glasgow at the time. It’s not only his fibbing which has got Mr.McGlone in trouble, but also his apparent Facebook rants in which he describes certain members of his staff “bitches”. As a result of his bad behaviour, McGlone appeared at a General Teaching Council Scotland hearing where he was given a 12 month reprimand.
The teacher admitted he was “embarrassed and sorry” about his conduct and affirmed his “passion” for teaching had not disappeared. I’m sure McGlone’s students don’t mind too much, they must have enjoyed all those free lessons.
