Rick Ross is trying to do more than just provide great music for fans to listen to. It seems the ‘Aston Martin Music’ rapper is attempting to build an army of musicians for his Maybach Music Group record label.
His latest signing is ex B2K front man Omarion, the singer who hasn’t had the solo success to match what he had with B2K. He has a lot to prove seeing as Rick Ross already has champion artists such as Wale & Meek Mill who are both great rappers with a fast growing fan base.
Wale’s album Ambition sold really well over in the US as well as over here in the UK, it peaked at No.2 in the US charts and provided tunes such ‘Lotus Flower Bomb’ which featured singer Miguel, and ‘Sabotage’ featuring RnB sensation Lloyd.
Meek Mill has been busy feeding fans with mixtapes, his most recent Dream Chasers 2 which has already provided hit singles such as ‘Amen’ featuring rap superstar Drake and ‘Ready or Not’ which samples the legendary Fugees hit single. His highly anticipated debut album Dreams & Nightmares is set to hit stores 28/08/12.
Rick Ross also has a new album God Forgive I Don’t which is yet to have a release date. As well as all these solo albums, the entire Maybach Music Group have a joint Album Self Made 2 which will be in stores 26/06/12.
It seems the fat man just can’t stop working!
