£100-a-minute Brad Pitt. Wednesday 23rd May 2012 | Osh Journalists covering the Cannes film festival have been told that they should expect to pay sums of up to £2000 for interview and photograph opportunities with the major film stars. Journalists covering the festival in the South of France are expected to pick from a ‘menu’ of prices in accordance with how much time they wish to spend with the stars. According to the Metro, publicist Max Clifford has been quoted saying that asking journalists to pay for time with the stars is an extremely bad idea. He also stated that stars expecting money in exchange for time ahead of major film releases shouldn’t expect to make any friends. A 20 minute chat with the likes of Kristen Stewart or Brad Pitt could set you back at least £2000. It’s thought that this is the first time that journalists have been asked to pay for time with the stars, stars that rely heavily on interviews and photographs to promote their latest film.
