They sped to the scene of a minor accident at a miniature railway, in a mix- up that left train enthusiasts shocked. They misheard the call, thinking it was a ‘military train accident’ when in fact it was a ‘miniature train accident.’
Two ambulance crews and a police car shot to the scene and it was only bad weather that stopped the air ambulance joining in the misunderstanding.
When they arrived, bemused train enthusiasts were enjoying the afternoon riding the three- quarter mile long miniature railway in Canvey Island, Essex.
3 passengers fell off the train and suffered minor injuries, so the call was just made as a precaution.
