Nokia takes over Times Square

On Friday night ( th April) thirty thousand people watched one of the biggest electronic take-overs of the famous Times Square for the launch of the Nokia Lumia 900.
Nokia took control over nine screens of the square’s iconic electric screens to make sure the crowd was bathing in light and music from every direction. The show was introduced bu superstar Nicki Minaj who sang a medly of tracks of her new album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
Eight miles of cable was spread over four blocks of the city to give power to all of the electronic screens. Combining real dancers with 200ft high computer generated graphics. The square was transformed in to a living, breathing entity.
Dozens of the world’s leading visual artist worked for more than 5000 hours. Every day and night and for more than three weeks to create the jaw dropping effects that were used on the screens.
