One Direction Did It!

As we reported last week, One Direction were set to top the US charts and they did it! This makes them the first British group to top the US charts with a debut album. Up All Night topped both the iTunes and Billboard charts. The band are still reported to be in shock following their success and Liam, who was interviewed on Daybreak, told of how everything happened so quickly, “It is a little bit of a shock. We didn’t expect to be over here, even release an album, let alone be the first to debut at number one. I don’t think it has hit home yet... We are all so naïve to the music industry that we don't really understand all these things. People tell you all these stats and tell you it's great but you just smile and go with it, really."
Beating The Spice Girls is a huge feat for anybody and to top it off, the band, signed by Simon Cowell’s very own label, Syco, also have their own Nickelodeon TV show. Well done boys!
