The team from Minneapolis, saved him before their state routine when the little boy stopped breathing. This happened at the State Dance competition at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Angela Burkhardt- Bixby the coach of the Fridley dance team, gave her son Colton to a freshman dancer Lizzy Streitz when she went to the toilet.
Lizzy began yelling for help when the boy stopped breathing and began turning blue. She called an ambulance and with help from assistant coaches, began using her CPR training.
Another dance team, the Zumbrota- Mazeppa, also helped out, working together to save the baby’s life.
Their hard work and persistence paid off! The baby was rushed to hospital and doctors said he had a seizure but he is now recovering.
