Search Engine Launches Concert Listings Feature

Google has a new feature which enables users to search gig dates for their favourite bands.
The update shows dates of concerts at nearby venues, and also offers the service of links to sites selling tickets for artists and bands.
Kavi Goel, Google Product Manager said in a blog post ‘To me, music is best heard live, so it’s always exciting to find out that a band I love is coming to town.’
You are able to see dates listed for the concert a few months up to event, but results won’t appear if they aren’t touring near you anytime soon.
Listings are mainly gathered from major ticket sites, but website owners can also have their concert dates included. The feature will expand to other countries in the future but at the moment is only available in English.
