Blur To Headline London Olympics Closing Concert

Blur, Brits outstanding contribution winners, are announced as the headline act for 12th August Olympic gig in Hyde Park.
The gig will take place to coincide with the closing ceremony of the games at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford and will be Blur’s only major live performance of the year! The Specials and New Order will be joining Blur for what is expected to be a ‘Best of British’ line up. There is also a further act yet to be announced. Courtesy of the BBC, ticketholders will be able to watch highlights of the closing ceremony from the Olympic Park on giant screens.
Bassist Alex James wrote in the Sun on Monday that ‘pulling the band back together is like reassembling the A- Team for one last job.’ Tickets for the ceremony concert go on sale Friday 24th February priced at £55 plus booking fee, and will be available from www.btlondonlive.com
