With winter’s ass slowly hitting the door on its way out, we pick three of London’s finest day-time parties to celebrate the turn of the seasons.
With the last of the snow melting away and the worst of winter surely behind us, spring is – we hope - right around the corner. Soon enough, going out will become less of a chore and more of a necessity. The days are getting lighter and longer, and the wonderful warmth of the sun’s rays will soon invigorate our pale, scurvy-ridden bodies with all the Vitamin D we could wish for. Yeah, right.
Nonetheless, to coincide with the turning of the seasons we’re bringing you the three best daytime parties London has to offer.
JADED, Cable (London Bridge): Dubbed ‘The DJ that never sleeps’, Raymundo Rodriguez has become something of a stalwart on London’s after-party scene with his infamous Jaded night down at AKA at Cable. You’ll find all manner of folk continuing from the night before as well as those who’ve woken up early just to make it down! Every Sunday - 05.30-12.00. £12 on the door / £8 members & concessions

DIRTYBIRD BBQ WAREHOUSE PARTY, TBA (East London): San Francisco’s sassiest house label, Dirtybird are bringing their notorious Golden Gate BBQ to London on April 7th and tickets are already flying. Featuring all the usual suspects (Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin) along with some extra special guests (Julio Bashmore, Eats Everything, Breach and more), it’s going to be enormous and will sell out, so get your tickets quick! April 7th. £20 advance (The Ransom Note)

REGGAE ROAST, Various locations: 3-piece sound system team, Reggae Roast has built up a sturdy reputation in the last five years having seduced crowds with their luscious mix of dub-reggae, Jamaican cuisine and good vibes. It’s a tried and tested recipe but the Reggae Roast boys have added their own extra spice when hosting their famed BBQ sessions at Big Chill over the years. There’s no info yet on this year’s party, but we think there damn well should be so get hassling them!
