Converse Collaborate With All Stars on New Line

Other | Wednesday 15th February 2012 | Osh

Cartoon band Gorillaz’s front man Damon Albarn is no stranger to pulling in the biggest names from each and every genre of the musical spectrum for his albums, but his latest collaborative effort is something a little different.

Gorillaz are teaming up with Andre 3000 (Outkast) and former LCD Soundsystem front man James Murphy for the new Converse shoe collection. The forthcoming line features four new concepts from the award- winning designs of Gorillaz co-creator, Jamie Hewlett, inked on the traditional Chuck Taylor iconic shoe.

The track called ‘Do Ya Thing’ will be available on footwear giant Converse’s website from the 23rd February 2012 and should be something special as it is reported that Albarn doesn’t just sing, he raps too.

Now if you’re like us and you can’t wait, then head on down to the 100 Club tonight (15th Feb) where Gorillaz Sound System will play to celebrate the release.
