Only 18 years old and it’s a promising year for Pharrell’s new protégé.
Produced by Pharrell Williams, Maxine Ashley, 18, comes from the block. Revealed on her YouTube channel (MaxineOfficial) for her different covers from Adele to Rihanna, this young Puerto Rican girl tots more than 2,600,000 views and she has succeeded to pull herself up to the rank of Pharrell’s protégé. Maxine Ashley’s debut album will be released this year but her debut single, Cookie Man, has already been chosen by Lanvin for their newest Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign. This is useful exposure to promote a tune that is heavily addictive!
