Diner Completes The 6,000 Calorie Platter
Wednesday 8th February 2012 | Osh
The multiple calorie feast, named the Kidz Breakfast because it weighs the same as a small child, has been polished in less than half an hour! 39 year old Robert Pinto travelled 125 miles from his home in Rutland to do the challenge in Yorkshire.
26 minutes later and the mission was accomplished! The task was to eat 9lb of platter food and get £15 for doing it. Mr Pinto said, "I didn’t know where to start. When I first saw it I thought, 'That looks pretty big'.”
He tells of his strategy for the challenge, which was believed couldn’t be done. “I try to use the bread to make little sandwiches filled with the ingredients and that helps it to go down better.”
However, he usually believes that it is important to stay healthy “After I had it, I went for a five- mile run, went down the gym and had a swim.”
You can bet he won’t be having a fry up in a while!
