Snakes Wipe Out Population

Florida’s mammal population is being wiped out by giant snakes. Pythons and constrictors are believed to be the suspects of the drastic drop in medium sized mammals in the Everglades (a US National Park).
Burmese Pythons, to be exact, are believed to be living in the park where they are able to thrive in the humid climate. It is said that since Hurricane Andrew in 1992, many escaped from pet shops and have been reproducing ever since. They are known to swallow animals as large and alligators whole and with a length of up to 26ft and a weight of more than 200lbs, these pythons were banned from import last month.
