The Last Music Store On The Street?
One of the biggest entertainment retailers HMV is struggling to survive due to falling sales and high levels of debt in the last two years. It almost missed its banking covenant test, but fortunately, thanks to the suppliers support, HMV had remains. More people download or purchase music and movies from the internet. HMV has successfully managed to extend their lifetime, but more challenges lay ahead. HMV described their future as “the last man standing”. Imagine in few years time when everything has become available online; entertainment stores will be eliminated.
