Hollywood Sign and a Human Head

A severed human head has been found by two female dog walkers on a hiking trail that leads to the Hollywood sign. The head was only discovered because the dogs were playing with it.
The crime scene was guarded overnight as detectives looked for other body parts whilst police are in the process of trying to discover who the head might belong to. The head was found near the same site as the Black Dahlia murder of 1947 where 22 year old Elizabeth Short, an aspiring actress, was found.
Riders, hikers and tourists use the trails daily.
The investigation continues.
