Waterproof protection for your precious gadgets won’t be just a dream for much longer. At the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), one of the most exciting exhibitions by far was Liquipel’s demonstration of it’s “nano-coating” protection.
The protection, which is applied to both the interior and exterior of the phone with a vacuum chamber, is completely invisible to the human eye.
Smartphones and other mobile devices protected with nano-coating are capable of being submerged an entire meter underwater for half an hour with no damage.
It’s possible that nano-coating won’t be limited to just new technology releases but also
existing devices. So in no time you’ll be swimming and status updating, blogging from the bath
and maybe even tweeting from the toilet, you know - if you’re into that sort of thing.
