We remember the legend that hip hop lost.
“Can you picture my prophecy? / Stress in the city, the cops is hot for me / The projects is full of bullets, the bodies is droppin’ / There ain’t no stoppin’ me” – ‘Me Against The World’. From beefing with his East Coast peers to catching cases with the police, 2Pac’s life was full of the drama most of these ‘street-credible’ rappers can only dream of. He had the guts to speak about issues that were considered of no interest to hip hop. Raised by a single mother under a stressful and dangerous environment, 2Pac beat the odds on a major level. His first album, 2Pacalypse Now, introduced the world to the then young but wise and amazing human being. His dedication led him to do movies with the likes of Janet Jackson. May his soul rest in peace and he will no doubt always remembered.
