A new night for London held in the heart of Old Street. Size Doesn’t Matter The Guestlist Network and So Dam Fresh are very proud to team up, turn the music up and present a truly fresh, devastatingly raw take on ‘get the funk up and party your ass off’.
Launching on the 4th November at NOMAD, X-Ray Spex promises to “see through genres” with special guests and selectors mixing up dirty beat driven electro boogie bass and drum, old-school/new school hip-hop, galactic disco, live Pa’s and all that’s in-between. With 2 floors and a 400 strong crowd capacity, not to mention a 5am licence things look set to swing hard. For those that are willing to sacrifice their Friday nights for a love of music, this is the only place to be….
First up Dj Dementia. Recently returned from staging roof top parties on sugar loaf mountain and aurally terrorizing the natives at the “Botafogo Social Club” with another of London’s finest Amber Mc hosting proceedings and guiding you and your lucky earlobes through truly genre breaking sets. “Vibes n Vice” very own Kojak! Will be spicing up the mix and getting your ears all twisted up. Another dude you need to get to know is DJ DOUMPA with fat bags full of breaks to satisfy the dance floor animal in you!
However! if this is not enough to quench the need of the party hard you’d better rush up Stairs and check the Legend that is Mr Thing (DMC UK CHAMPION 2000). This is a man who should need no introduction as one of the finest purveyors of Hip Hop on the scene, you’ll need your X-Ray Spex fully tuned to see through his turntable tricks and with London’s very own MYSTRO and DJ Thor performing Live this will be one to attend. DJ Thor is currently showcase DJ for UK M.C legend Mystro. and the last 3 years has seen them go from strength to strength. This talented duo have been ripping up crowds up and down the country, at festivals and even taking a lead role on the international stage having recently returned from Prague. We are extremely lucky to welcome them to East London and your sure to hear some choice cuts from past and future productions. What more could you ask for ?
