Event Preview: Never Say Die vs Ergh
Monday 2nd February 2015 | Nick
Just as expected Never Say Die Records co founded by headliner SKisM, has sent an absolute beast of lineups to Vauxhall in February. Ergh vs Never Say Die, a night to write down in dubstep history for sure.
Now I know Fire has seen many a decent rave before but this one is going to be so much more special! To start with Habstrakt and Must Die! both of them being almost world famous producers and DJs hailing from South France and the US respectively, really are formidable behind the decks, their trap/dubstep combo fitting in with fellow headliner Laxx is taking the world by storm if you ignore deep house. Habstrakt with his latest release showing us just what he does best. Don't be afraid to check Habstrakt out here, you wont regret it!
Must Die! and Habstrakt are frequently found producing and djing together, and with sets that coincide right after each other there are speculations of a very special back to back set which would literally get the whole of Vauxhall skanking, the ravers wouldn’t be ready.
Habstrakt with his bouncy, rhythmic dubstep vibes and Must Die! and his more electronic synthesised approach makes for some amazing productions and sets. Check out Habstrakts remix of Hellcat by Must Die! It's definitely one to be a set essential for a long time to come! Hellcat (Habstrakt Remix) - Must Die!
Keep up to date with all the in the know from Must Die! on his soundcloud
SKisM shouldn't need too much explaining, if you don't already know, since early 2009 he has produced and collaborated with a vast variety of musical talent such as Flux Pavillion, Datsik, Foreign Beggars and the Ragga Twins just to name a few! His Soundcloud is ram packed with bangers from melodic dubstep to head-banging tunes for anyone and everyone.
All of this excitement and I haven't even talked about Zomboy! His tracks have been championed by heavyweights Skrillex, Mista Jam, Flux Pavilion, and ModeStep. In only 6 months his tracks were licensed to over 8 different compilations from Warner Music to Ministry of Sound. Listen to this absolute killer remix with Skrillex, this is a ravers version of porn.
All of this and Sub Zero is spinning drum and bass and jungle in room 2 with other drum and bass jockeys. He has always been influenced by Original Sin and this is easily seen or heard in his productions. His recent trap release took his fans by surprise as the all too familiar 174 bpm took a 94 bpm turn. True Playaz member Sub Zero has made it in the hall of greats with his literally unparalleled jump-up sets. Room 2 is the place to be for all those old school ravers and jungalists.
To keep up with all these artists show them some love on their Souncloud and Facebook.
Unfortunately tickets are already at final release for this event but if you managed to grab a ticket, you're in for one hell of a Valentines Day!
