Drum and Bass Album of the Week: Jabber Jaw EP, KJah Drum and Bass | Thursday 8th January 2015 | The latest offering from KJah is another telling sign that classic drum and bass is making a marked resurgence in the modern musical landscape. This EP oozes white- label dub plate and reeks of high grade. Starting with the title track Jabber Jaw, a classic jump up track with a focus on a beefy bassline sporting a familiar but always thrilling tone. Mixed with the cartoon samples this song emcompasses how much fun good dnb should be. The next track “Gassed to the Max” harks back to the classic dark jungle vibes of the mid 1990s, a theme which continues through to the next track “Show Me Your Love” which mixes the jump up vibes of the title track with the old school samples of its predecessor to make a wonderfully uplifting track. A great EP for DJ’s and bassheads alike.
