Event Preview: Makin' Moves Presents Ian Friday from NYC

Following a hugely successful 2014, the Makin’ Moves team are returning to Shoreditch with a series of stand-alone parties. This first event will take place in the basement of the brand new Loves Company in Old Street this weekend, hosting special guest Ian Friday. Ian Friday is known for his deep, soulful house sets in his home city of New York, and also runs Global Soul Music which he set up in 2006. Key releases including ‘Everything’ featuring Erro and “Life Starts Today” have propelled the label into a prestigious position on the soulful house scene.
Supporting Ian, we have the Makin’ Moves residents, Matt L-S and Jamesey. The pair had a busy summer, packing out the Brixton Clubhouse and taking on a residency at Bedroom Bar in Shoreditch. They too favour the sounds of New York style house, and combine it with a selection of live music and desire to bring back live creative DJ mixing.
