A New Shade of Diddy

Do you remember good old days when P. Diddy hit the floors with his immortal hits like Last Night featuring energetic Keyshia Cole, Tell me featuring young mommy Christina Aguilera or Come to me featuring The Pussy Cat Doll’s treasure Nicole Sherzinger? All those pieces are very different but there was one thing they all have in common- the genre, namely rap. Who could ever imagine old buck Sean Combs a.k.a. P. Diddy bringing a techno-zest album into the world together with a Tel-Avivian techno/progressive/house artist Guy Gerber, a habitué of high brow events in Detroit, Berlin, Ibiza, Miami, and the UK?
Although the project was expected to be called “Ketamine”, in the end, it received the name “11 11”. P. Diddy, one of the two album’s dads, said that “11 11” is not aimed at making audience "jump up and down like a pogo-stick" (compared to artist’s habitual target audience – the hip-hip fans) but for “demented, after hours minds”. Maybe that is the main reason why P. Diddy went back to the Puff Daddy alias.
The album has been on the public agenda for a few years already, and in mid- spring it was introduced to the world for the first time, in Miami, where P. Diddy hosted the private party.
Recently, the single “My Heart” hit the global Net and the hearts of quality underground dance music fans. One can recognise Guy’s hallmark techno mixed with deep soulful male vocal. It’s odd associating it with rap legend P. Diddy but make sure you’re one of the first to check out this incredible piece!
