The 21st edition of the infamous Rototom Sunsplash festival by the beach in Spain is a must for your summer plans. Sun, swim, smoke, smile during the day time and some serious skanking from the early evening onwards. One of the biggest reggae festivals in the world has everything to offer; from art and music workshops, to great food and even interesting talks at the reggae university camp. And, of course, excellent music with the best artists of the last few decades.
For this year's edition old school, roots masters such as the Gladiators; the epic brotherly duo: The Twinkle Brothers; Alpha Blondy and Jimmy Cliff should all be present to bring you back to the golden age of reggae and rock your souls. More modern talented artists will not be underepresented, with currently on the list: Luciano, Easy Star All-Stars, Raphael and Collie Buddz for dancehall. On the sound-system side of things, 'Roots Ambassador' Jah Youth, Dubkasm ft. dancehall champion Solo Banton, Kanka and Stand High Patrol ft. Pupajim will blast your ears with heavy bass and spread the good vibes.
