Sunflower Hostel, Berlin

Other | Monday 11th November 2013 | Katrine

Sunflower has been waving goodbye to happy visitors since 2001, with many a delighted returning customer. Situated on the corner of Helsingforser Street, Friedrichshain, the location of the hostel is ideal, within walking distance of huge historical attractions such as Karl-Marx-Allee, the East Side Gallery and the fountain and war memorial of Volkspark on the borough’s Northern border. The area is largely recommended to travellers for its entertainment value; tourists and locals alike will attest to the ease of finding somewhere fun to go before and after dark, no matter how limited on cash you might be, with bars, theatres and world renowned nightclubs all a stone’s throw away.

You can share an eight bed mixed dorm room for as little as €13 per night, or alternatively if you prefer to keep your privacy they have singular rooms from just €30. For the décor and quality provided these prices are phenomenally low, with few rivals in Europe as a whole. Check out the unique and beautifully designed reception below. The hostel is prepared for all kinds of room requirements including unshared apartments with their own kitchen and bathroom, as well as keeping an open bar for all but one hour of the day. Breakfast is available until midday and bike rental, internet access and a laundry service are all fantastic perks to your visit. Sunflower has been widely recognised on travel comparison websites as a great place to stay for amazing value, not to mention the community atmosphere that makes travelling so worthwhile for people from all walks of life.

If you’re planning a trip to Berlin soon, make sure you go to Sunflower Hostel and make the most of the environment, affordable facilities and gorgeous surroundings.
