Mos Def, aka Yasiin Bey, to grace O2 Shepherds Bush Empire

Hip Hop icon Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) will be performing at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on the 31st October. The American MC and actor released his solo debut ‘Black On Both Sides’ in 1999 and has since picked up five Grammy nominations including Best Rap Album for fourth release ‘The Ecstactic’ and Best Rap Solo Performance for single ‘Casa Bey’. Not only does Mos Def represent music, but also social conciousness, recently partcipating in a hunger feed video to expose Guantanamo Bay. He embodies soul, lyricism and a rooted hip hop culture, which you can feel from his energetic live performances. He is known to interact with the audience, freestyle and share in his audience's enjoyment - this is a show you do not want to miss.
