Real sex in front of a real audience! Channel 4

Other | Thursday 26th September 2013 | Kofi

Channel 4 are making plans to introduce a new show called “Sex Box” to promote open dialogue about ‘real sex’ with regards to the explosion of online porn.

Couples will volunteer to take part in the show by having sex in an opaque, sound proof room in the middle of the studio, which will presumably be the “Sex Box” (so no, you won’t be seeing genitals flying about on your TVs).

Volunteers consist of homosexual couples who hope to destroy ridiculous myths about gay sex, as well as heterosexual couples who think people don’t talk openly about sex.

"Sex Box absolutely intends to be an open and adult conversation about sex, something we feel is currently being overlooked by mainstream programming.” says Ralph Lee the broadcaster. The show is apparently part of a new "real sex" season, which will also include a documentary examining the effect of pornography on British teenagers.

Some say see this simply as “hidden porn on TV”, but from what I can gather, they’re trying to promote the idea of sex being completely private, but with a conversation which is honest and direct.
