Last weeks biggest sub shakers from Hospital, Delta Heavy & General Narco

Drum and Bass | Sunday 6th March 2016 | Arren

A huge week for drum & bass. Hospital brought back their series The Future Sound of, Delta Heavy had their first single before their debut later this year, there was another bootleg-special from Jungle Strikes, and a tonne of top quality drum & bass.

Various Artists - The Future Sound of America [Hospital]

Hospital have revived their Future Sound of series, this time celebrating some of the best artist the States has to offer. Quadrant & Iris, Evol Intent, Gridlok, Kid Hops, Ownglow and more are showcasing their sounds on this impressive release, hopefully they’ll be more from Hospital’s Future Sound of very soon.

Delta Heavy - Oscillator [Ram]

The space age duo are back. Ahead of their debut album they’ve dropped this huge single. Both records follows their killer sound that we all know and love them for. A huge release, just waiting on the album now lads!

Fourward - The Storm / Mashed [Shogun]

Austria’s juggernaut of all things deep and powerful have smashed Shogun again with another filthy release. The Storm tears it out as Linguistics delivers a smooth narration above the dark record. Mashed drops it even heavier than The Storm bringing a seriously technical edge.

1991 - Sprites [MTA]

Chase & Status’ label are back with another top quality drum & bass release. This time the attention turns to 1991, who believes a sick pair of tracks. Sprites is a bouncy record with a  cheeky bleep, whilst over on the flipside Witchdocter takes a heavier path, definitely one for the heads.

Ed:it - If And Only If [Deepkut]

Ed:it brings his bold style to C.I.A’s offshoot Deepkut. The title track carries us through with its polished beat and soft samples and sounds. Long Time takes it a little more down the tech-steppy route.

RMS / Jungle Citizenz - G Thang / Canis Majoris [Deep In The Jungle]

Two of the freshest cuts of jungle craziness from Deep In The Jungle. RMS brings G Thang, with a sick hip hop interlude complete with flutes and all, before rolling in a thick bassline and mental break. Jungle Citizenz supplies Canis Majoris, another sweet jungle tune with clear nods to hip hop.

Satl / Malaky / J Logic - Moments EP [Celsius]

Three wicked liquid rollers. The three producers all collaborate on the records that are full of emotion, bold basslines and silky smooth beats. Beautiful, magical, soulful - to be honest did we expect anything less from Celsius?

General Narco - Jungle Strikes Vol. 8 [Jungle Strikes]

The crazy bunch behind Jungle Strikes are back, this time with General Narco providing the goodies. Two jungle bootleg bangers guanteed to bring the heat to any party.

Nultiply - Episteme / Game Plan [Citate Forms]

This upcoming producer from London releases two great tracks on Citate Forms. Episteme is a tranquil liquid roller. Game Plan is a little more grotty with murky bass tones and robotic beat.

Signs - Obsession / Deep Future [Nemesis]

Toulouse’s biggest trio Signs bring the next release from Nemesis. The sharp edged Obsession sets the tone for the release with driving bassline and hefty beat. Deep Future goes a little darker with a menacing tone throughout.
