Steve Aoki, one of America's biggest DJs and known for smashing cakes in fans faces and crowd surfing on inflatable boats, has found himself in a bit of a situation after seriously injuring a fan at a show three years ago.
Following a performance at San Deigo’s Hard Rock Hotel, Steve Aoki and the venue have had a lawsuit filed against them after a partygoer's neck was broken during Steve’s trip on the inflatable boat SS Aoki.
Brittany Hickman was underneath the inflatable when Aoki jumped onto it from quite a height. The impact knocked Brittany unconscious and put her at serious risk of paralysis. She spent several days at hospital and had two months off work due to her injury. Images from the event show how high Aoki got so it's not surprising that some one got hurt. She has begun legal action as she still suffers from the incident and wants to warn people as Steve Aoki’s fame continues to rise.
It's not the first time injuries have happened at Aoki’s concerts - he himself has smacked his head, almost going out cold after jumping around on a trampoline in between songs. Perhaps after this lawsuit he might spend more time behind the decks actually DJing, but I wouldn’t count on it.
