The Funk & Soul Weekender returns for its second edition from 12th - 14th May 2017.
After a sold-out festival last year, TF&SW is coming back with plenty of big brass sounds, hip hop beats, future soul, afro-beats and disco. The headliner for this feel-good extravaganza is George Clinton with Parliament Funkadelic. Clinton is one of the inventors of funk music, and with the 16-piece band, he still has one of the most electric live shows on the circuit.
Joining them on the line-up are the mighty Sugarhill Gang, Good Times ambassador Norman Jay MBE, Mr Scruff, pyschedelic quintet Flamingods, Wormfood's United Vibrations & Nubiyan Twist, soul legend Omar, Akua Naru, Jordan Rakei, Taylor McFerrin and many more.
Across the weekend you can also dip into Echoes Disco Yoga, tropical pool parties, disco dodgeball, jazz dance classes and loads more secret activities. Not only are TF&SW developing the musical and festival experience, they are also proudly working alongside Mind, Lovespecs and Support Act in a bid push their feel good values as far as possible, creating more awareness and opportunities for the projects which need it most.
There's still plenty of line-up annoucements to come, but this is going to be a big date in the festival calendar so head to the website to jump on tickets now.
