Lupe Fiasco said that hip-hop saved him and now hip-hop is going on to save an almost extinct language as a rap group from Maze in Norway known as Slincraze who rap in Sami try to keep their language alive by using the power of rap.
Their founding member Nils Rune Utsi claims rap could save his ancient cultures and traditions. His goal is to fight the stereotypes about the people in his region and wants his people to be proud to speak the language of Sami. He says he choose hip hop due to the music genre being “Raw and unpolished and you get what you hear.” Maze only has 250 people living there and less than 20,000 people speak the language of Sami.
He's a video by the group even though you may not understand it see if you can still vibe with it.
