Toolroom Records hits the 15-year milestone and have planned something proper special to celebrate the occasion. The label, headed by Mark Knight, is a leading global player that’s behind some of the biggest tracks in the clubs and festivals over the last 15 years. We’ve got Knight to hand pick 15 records that for him stand out, cos if anyone knows Toolroom, let’s face it Knight’s your guy.
Famous for keeping its ears to the ground, Toolroom have always kept things fresh with every new release. As trends have come and gone, Toolroom has evolved and now boasts one of the most diverse back catalogues including glitchy electro, head spinning techno and even a few cheeky drum & bass slammers.
Making it 15 years in music standards is like making it for a lifetime, so the guys behind Toolroom have every right to start popping open the bottles and turning up the volume. And they’ll be doing that 15 times, one for each year at roadblock parties being held across the world making stops in quality locations including New York, Amsterdam and here in London.
Toolroom touchdown in London at Greenwich’s Studio 338 on July 14th for a hefty day/night party celebrating their rich past and toasting to the future. Taking over both the Garden and Terrace of the venue, a host of top-flight DJs join Mark Knight behind the decks including; recent Toolroom signee Danny Howard, label figurehead Weiss and modern day house pioneers Friend Within. Oh, and let’s not forget the small revelation that ERICK MORILLO will also be passing through. ERICK FUCKING MORILLO!
