The Black Seeds drop their most inspirational LP yet!

Reggae | Wednesday 27th September 2017 | Patience

South Pacific reggae - soul band The Black Seeds release their sixth studio album Fabric as they come close to 20 years together as a collective.

The 12 track LP ranges from funk, 80's rnb to groove-heavy tunes that perfectly capture The Black Seed's eclectic musical style. Standout track 'Beleza' touches on how we can fight the "system", it sings "It's only a matter of time, before you spend your money and lose your mind, people of this world let's listen, don't play a fool to the system."

The striking single leads on to hypnotic songs like 'Lost In The Bush' & 'Lightning Strikes' both fusing the usual reggae ingredients into their sound, with heavy synths & steady grooves. But things don't stay serious for too long with their uplifting opener 'Better Days' which promises that "better days are coming, lonely nights are leaving," while 'The Weaver' cements this truth by reminding us that love conquers all pain.

All in all, The Black Seeds Fabric shines through as a conscious album peppered with optimistic lyrics & irresistible instrumentation.
