Yes it really is true, the French duo are indeed about to release their own range of condoms suitably named after their number one single ‘Get Lucky’. Daft Punk have teamed up with popular contraceptive manufacturer Durex to spread the love, but in the safe way.
However, this isn’t the first time that a music group has aimed to promote safe sex, X Factor boy band JLS teamed up with Durex back in 2010 with the tagline ‘Just Love Safe’ in accordance with their acronym. But here at Guestlist we prefer Daft Punk’s humouring but serious approach on the growing importance of practicing safe sex. The range which will be available to purchase in the UK in the near future features the album cover of their latest release Random Access Memories.
In an attempt to promote the range, Durex sent out the range of condoms to big name DJ’s, including Diplo, whom posted a picture of the package commenting on his relief upon receiving them: “Thank God I had those Daft Punk condoms last night.”
If you’re looking to get lucky this summer, do it with Daft Punk.
