Bill Oddie Slams Theresa May's Plans To Reintroduce Fox Hunting Sunday 21st May 2017 | David Bill Oddie Fox Hunting Theresa May Tories As if you needed any more convincing that the Tories are completely out of touch, Theresa May has said that if she wins the election on June 8, she'll hold a vote to bring back fox hunting. Because nothing says 'representing the will of the British people' like the brutal slaughter of defenceless animals. TV presenter and conservationist Bill Oddie, who was most recently was seen on BBC One in the documentary series The Real Marigold Hotel, spoke to The Sunday Express about the absurdity of repealing the fox hunting ban. He delivered the following harsh words: "Not long ago the Brexiteers were demanding that we 'make Britain great again'. Is that the Britain that indulges fox hunting, game shooting and other blood sports, or the Britain that was known as a nation of animal lovers? We still are. A huge percentage of the public are concerned about animal welfare and abuse. This is clear from the passing of the Act more than 10 years ago to current polls. Is the PM arguing that it is okay to repeal the Act because hunting and shooting have diminished or are less cruel than they used to be?" Strong words indeed. It seems pretty clear who supporters of animal welfare should and should not vote for next month. Honestly, who could anyone want to kill an animal as adorable as the one in the video below?
