When you can’t find something you like in the high street or online what do you do? Well 18 year old Jemma Price decided to take action and create a clothing line she herself would like to wear.
Her debut clothing line consists of very fashionable monochrome oversized t-shirts and sweatshirts. The Guestlist Network asked her some questions about the positive reaction her clothing line received and her idea behind it.
What made you decide to start your own clothing line?
I found that I wasn't inspired by any clothing I found in the shops and I had a lot of my own ideas which I used to write down, one day I decided to make a sample for myself and got asked by many people through the day where they could get it from. This led me to start selling them to the public.
What made you decide on the name California Nights?
I absolutely love California and the name had a ring to it which I liked!
Most of the items are oversized, why is that?
I find that oversize clothing is very in fashion in America at the moment and for a hot summer’s day its way more comfortable! However the oversize sweatshirts are perfect for cold winter days too!
Finally, who are your target audience?
It's mainly aimed at young people; however I’ve found that it has been requested by people of all ages!
